MIME_StakeholderForum_description
The MIME Project, launched on 1st March 2014 with European Commission support, is now in full swing.
The purpose of the Stakeholder Forum is to facilitate direct contact between the 25 MIME teams, which come from 22 different institutions in 16 European countries and represent no less than ten disciplines, and professional organisations such as yours.
The first Stakeholder Forum meeting was organized on 3 June 2015 at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, with participation of 13 stakeholder organizations. Reactions and comments from practitioners have provided highly valuable feedback to the research teams, and helped us to link up scientific work on multilingualism with language challenges as they emerge on the frontline of linguistic diversity.
The 2nd Stakeholder Forum meeting organized at Universidade do Algarve in Faro, Portugal, may be of interest since the focus of this year’s meeting will focus on issues such as language education, education in languages and linguistic rights, inclusion in education, reforming formal education systems, informal and non-formal language learning and social policy, and language diversity vs. internationalization in higher education.
