'An IATEFL webinar with Mariel Amez

This presentation will engage the audience with materials freely available online accompanied by activities to help students explore cultural difference, express their thoughts and feelings, make meaningful use of the target language and reconsider their own cultural identity. Resources will include interactive travel guides, transport authority searches, live webcams, Google Street View, restaurant menus, museum exhibitions and learning resources, and multilingual linguistic landscapes. Activities will be geared towards the development of reading, writing, listening, speaking, interactive and interpretive skills alongside critical literacy and intercultural citizenship. Participants will hopefully take away an array of resources and ideas they can adapt to their local contexts.
