'Every Song Tells a Story and Every Story is Worth Telling'

Music and stories are powerful tools which impact the brain and emotions - songs and stories make us think and feel, they make us smile and cry. We often forget that songs are a rich source of stories, with characters, plots, settings and often inspired by real life events. Through a series of practical activities, we will be looking at how we can use music and stories to unlock learners’ expression, increase motivation and engagement, and improve memory and attention. We will also be looking at how songs and stories can be a springboard for class projects and cultural awareness. This is a very practical session, so come prepared for poetry and stories, rhythm and movement!
