'ELTons webinars: 2015 winner of the ELTon award for Digital Innovation

We are pleased to bring you a series of webinars showcasing ideas from the 2015 ELTons winning innovations. Here we present the 2015 winner of the ELTon award for Digital Innovation. Date: Thursday 25 February, 2016 Time: 17.30 UK time. Find out the time where you are. Theme: An invitation to learn from the author about the world of Little Bridge, the award-winning English Language Learning website/platform that has caught the imagination of young learners around the world. From the hundreds of structured activities to the safe, online community of DigiPals, from the interactive Games to the Grammar Factory, Little Bridge motivates students to spend time practising, improving and really using their English. Discover how you can make learners feel part of an English speaking community and build bridges between work and play, between school and home, and between traditional language learning strategies and innovative, interactive technology.

About the speaker

Paul Rogers is an award-winning author of over forty books for children as well as of many well-known language-teaching materials (text books, course materials, including digital). Educated at the University of Sussex (UK), Paul is an accomplished linguist, fluent in French, German and Spanish and is currently learning Chinese. He has considerable experience of the classroom, originally as a teacher (primary and secondary) and more recently as a teacher trainer and a lecturer in Education at the University of London, specializing in the teaching of languages.
He has also played a key role in international education projects, including the creation of a primary literacy strategy in Cambodia.
Paul is regularly invited to speak at international events on the teaching of English to young learners and is a leading advocate for the use of technology in language learning. Children in more than 140 countries around the world are learning English with Little Bridge, for which Paul is lead author.
