"Amazing news - 88 tales have been shared in response to treasures at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter (RAMM), reaching all the way around the world!
To mark the completion of our amazing story shares I'm inviting you and all your friends, family and fellow story lovers to a special free online RAMM museum event:
From Exeter to Nairobi
From Kathmandu to Aberdeen
From Lima to Sydney to Tokyo
And just about everywhere in between
Absolutely everyone is invited to come and join our live Zoom celebration where storytellers around the world look back over the last six months to reflect and share what this kind of intercultural exchange means to each of us personally, and to look forward to growing global connectedness.
I will talk a little about the experience of doing the project and then everyone will have the chance to meet a participating storyteller somewhere around the world live on Zoom, listen to the tale they tell inspired by a museum object and find out what this kind of intercultural sharing means to them.
We'll end with a celebration of our interconnected sharing of tales around the world.
Book your free ticket via RAMM's website https://exeterramm.admit-one.eu/?p=tickets&perfCode=4542&ev=4382 and invite more people you know to join us.
Imagine all the people sharing all the world!
I'd also like to invite you and people you know to share a short tale on the project padlet Tell Your Stories and also to listen and comment on one or two of the stories shared here by children and grown-ups around the world (look for the audio headphones symbol). https://padlet.com/DavidHeathfield/no386xpbs7zk1ljm
This is such a magical and beautiful global sharing project and will be here on into the future for you all to enjoy, learn from and share. You can join us live on Facebook for the final four story-shares this Thursday with Amna Burki and Irshad Barkat https://fb.me/e/23Pnz62sq and next Tuesday with Mindy Neo and Zahra Asfah, who will exchange stories with me inspired by the oldest object in the museum https://fb.me/e/1HFsVuZ4u
