“Dear Dream Weaving Friend,

It will be a great honour and privilege to welcome you here personally at the 24th international edition of the Women Economic Forum Conference, the second one in Portugal and the first in Tomar (Templar City and World Heritage site), under the Theme: Inspiring Passion and Innovation Through Sustainable Change, to be held from the 22nd to the 25th of March, at Tomar’s Sports Pavillion (https://www.wef.org.in/wef-portugal-2019-venue-details/).

This Event is promoted by  ALL Ladies League international/ Tomar Chapter and the Women Dream Wevers Project and is held in partnership with Tomar’s Municipality, presided by the Mayor Anabela Freitas, with the support of Abrantes’s Municipality , presided by the Mayor Maria do Céu Albuquerque, in collaboration with local Schools, Instituto Politécnico de Tomar and Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Abrantes (Politechnic Insitute and Technologies School fo Higher Education),Tomar and Abrantes professional schools, Employment Centre in Tomar,Tomar’s Parish and other public and private entities, namely Linda’s School Language School as the organization’s headquarters, who all collaborate volunteerily towards bringing forth this Event.

Created in a very special way, this is the first International Conference dedicated to feminine empowerment but totally inclusive of the masculine to take place in the beautiful town of Tomar with the aim of being a catayst for change, bringing about an opportunity to join both youngsters and adults who have real examples of good practices so that together we can transform the legacy of excess and disrespect for the Earth’s balance and the balance of the Animal and Human kingdoms in this great Home of ours, enhanced throughout the last decades.

We intend to motivate and inspire a postive change of habits, be it at a personal level with the body, mind and soul balance, be it at a social, economic, educational, political, structural and environmental balance level.

We aspire to inspire youth to be the leaders of a gradual and possible global transformation, step by step, establishing new paradigms for success, equity and citizenship, including the Youth for a Sustainable World NOW International Contest in the Program (vote online up to 12th February) and the Fundraising Concert Art in Motion Finds a Voice (this show is open to the public and tickets are already available), as well as the invitation to schools and universities to participate in the Conference.

This is indeed an excellent networking platform, as well as a means to share experiences and knowledge which will be very enriching for all that participate, in one way or another.

We estimate to have 300 to 500 participants from over 30 countries present, as well as more than 2000 visitors throughout the 3 days of the Event. The 4th day is dedicated to Guided Tours offered by Tomar’s Municipality in partnership with the Nuno de Santa Maria School Group and their Holidays Cultural Tourism Project with youngsters as guides, and by Abrantes’s Municipality as well.
