‘Being me’ – 22nd February 7 p.m.
In large classes of young learners, how can we ensure that we are meeting each child´s emotional and social needs? This webinar will present teachers with ideas and activities which aim to promote positive interactions within the English language classroom. We will explore how we can provide positive experiences for our primary learners, fostering an enjoyment for learning, for the English language and beyond.
Andrea Tolve is currently Head of Teacher Training Iberia for Cambridge University Press and has been working in the ELT world since 1999. She started working in Zagreb, Croatia as a teacher and coordinator of private language schools before moving to Spain in 2003. On moving to Spain, Andrea was a teacher and account manager at International House Madrid and followed this by becoming a Director of Studies at her own school. She has a Master of Arts in Education specialising in Applied Linguistics with the Open University.
Rachel Jeffries started her teaching career in 2008 as a secondary teacher of Drama in the UK, later moving into the world of ELT. She has experience in teaching a wide range of nationalities, in various countries including Italy, Australia and Spain and all ages from pre-primary to adults. She holds the PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) and the DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Rachel is currently a Teacher Trainer at Cambridge University Press Iberia.
