“Teaching English in a university context” with Will Nash
Saturday, February 1, 2020 | 3:00:00 PM GMT – 4:00:00 PM GMT | Will Nash

“This webinar will introduce what ELT looks like in a University context, including working in EAP. Maybe you already have a Diploma or Masters in an ELT related area and experience in other teaching contexts, but how to do you move into working in a University context? What are the differences between pre-and in-sessional provision? What ELT careers are there in a University? What professional development should we be doing to help make the transition? This talk is aimed at already qualified and experienced teachers that come from other ELT sectors (for example private language schools, young learner centres or in-company provision) and are wanting to find out more about working in higher education contexts, particularly in the UK. Jobs in the sector can be very rewarding, both professionally and financially, and there is a real need for teachers in the summer from all over the world and from all areas of ELT.

Will Nash is Academic Director for Training and Development at the University of Sheffield English Language Teaching Centre in the UK.”
